We need your help!
A research team from the University of Limerick, in partnership with HSE Mid West Mental Health and community partners, are currently co-producing safety planning resources with and for young people. Mid West ARIES is proud to be involved in this important project and we need your help.
What’s it about?
The study is about creating safety plans for young people who experience emotional distress or dysregulation. A safety plan is a simple, step-by-step guide to help someone manage their feelings, cope during a crisis, and find support when they need it.
The team are using a co-production approach, which means young people, supporters, and professionals will work together to create the safety plans. They want to make sure they are realistic, effective, and designed with the people who will use them.
By taking part, you can help shape safety plans that will support young people aged 15-25. Your experiences and insights are valuable in making sure these plans work in real-life situations.
Who can take part?
- Young people aged 15-25 who have experienced emotional dysregulation or crisis
- Mental health professionals who have experience developing safety plans with young people
- Friends and family members who have supported young people during an emotional crisis
