As part of the First Fortnight Festival. Peer-led Wellness cafes in Ennis and Donegal are hosting events on the theme “What is a Wellness Café?”, providing free tea/coffee and the opportunity to experience the café in action.
First Fortnight is a charity that challenges mental health stigma through arts and cultural action with this annual mental health, arts and culture festival throughout January, throughout Ireland. The festival celebrates the arts as a powerful catalyst for sparking unscripted conversations around mental ill health and serves to challenge the stigma associated with mental ill-health. The festival aspires to make the beginning of each year synonymous with mental health awareness, actively challenging societal prejudices, and eradicating the pervasive stigma surrounding mental health. The peer-led Wellness Café is a safe, supportive environment to connect with others for mental wellbeing.
Come along to Glór Café Ennis on Monday 13th January, 10:30am-11:30am, to meet peers and find out more about Wellness cafes.
